Action Felix Opens Noble House Hotel
The Noble House Hotel opened its doors in April 2006 with twelve guestrooms. The hotel and rooms were primarily built to host the numerous mission teams and volunteers coming to Caminul Felix, as well as additional travelers. The hotel offers beautifully furnished, double rooms with hardwood floors, individual, tiled bathrooms with hot and cold water, and electric heating. In addition, there are several meeting rooms and a kitchen available.
The furniture was provided by Romanian and Swedish manufacturers, with linens from Sweden. The bed coverlets, pillows and window treatments were created at Action Felix's Sunflower Design Studio, under the guidance of Swedish volunteer, Catarina Johannson. Johannson, a nurse by occupation has given her extraordinary time and talents with design and textiles to Caminul Felix.
The hotel was not only built to house the faithful volunteers of Caminul Felix, but also to provide additional revenue for the Caminul Felix operations. Further, the hotel provides the children with hands-on experience in the hotel and tourism practices.
A gift shop has also been set up in the hotel to sell items from a private collection of antiques, frames, paintings, glassware, etc.
