Caminul Felix Academy
Caminul Felix Academy is the governing school of Caminul Felix’s Family Concept. The Academy is the training ground for current and future house parents. It serves as a place of learning and sharing, where parents can prepare for their new challenges.
We believe that the family concept is the key to unlocking a child that has been neglected and abandoned. A child suffering from trauma needs a safe haven where the child can feel secure and have time to heal and contemplate life. At Caminul Felix that haven consists of the parents and the extended family—brothers and sisters.
In the beginning, this adoptive family can be a rather complex environment for a child only thinking about the next meal or avoiding abuse. To guide them through this challenging process and to provide for their needs, Caminul Felix provides the adoptive parents. And for the parents’ needs and development, the answer is the Academy. The Caminul Felix Academy aims to thoroughly prepare the parents while supplying time and resources for discussions and groups seminars.
Action Felix has secured the land for the facilities. We are currently seeking funding for the building of the Academy, which will consist of an educational complex, a library, and a gymnasium/gathering hall.
