Open Hand House
Open Hand House is a multi-purpose facility currently housing the Caminul Felix Administrative Offices, the Sun Flower Design Studio and Gift Shop, the Ceremony Hall and kitchen operations. The building was made possible by the generosity of The Öppen Hand Ministries and the Pentecostal Church of Nyköping, Sweden.
Sun Flower Design Studio and Gift Shop occupies half of the Open Hand House. It manufactures arts and crafts based on local and European traditions. The products are marketed locally in our Gift Shop as well as internationally through the Caminul Felix Choir tours. Specialty products include: wool handbags, specialty aprons and kitchen accessories, dolls and toys, and bathroom and household items. The studio is also available for custom, made-to-order products.
Sun Flower Design is truly a wonderful contribution to the education of young women at Caminul Felix by providing an environment where they can learn design, sewing and craftsmanship skills. Currently, there are five young women employed here. The Studio is looking to expand its mission and activities by partnering with area non-profit organizations.
My name is Ana. I have worked for Sunflower Design since 1996. It is very important for me to have a job. In the beginning we all worked in a small apartment in the town of Baile Felix. For some years we have worked here in the administration building, but now it is too small for us.
We have prayed to God for many years for a new building and now God has answered our prayer. We are now three girls who are working for Sunflower Design and we hope in the future here will be more girls.

The Ceremony Hall and the large, fully-staffed kitchen meets the needs of Caminul Felix and serves as a Restaurant for wedding celebrations and other special occasions. To date, five of our young people have celebrated their wedding receptions here.
